August 22, 2015 Cruising Prince Christian Sund
Yesterday the ship rocked and rolled until evening. Some people skipped dinner but most were good sailors. My cabin is on deck 9 and my verandah was very wet.
This morning we enter Prince Christian Sund. There were a lot less icebergs than there were 3 weeks ago. The sail through started at 7am and we exited about 6pm.
When we passed glaciers the ship would spin around so all sides of the ship could see it.
There is a small village in the sound and 3 small fishing boats came out to greet us. The ship slowed down and allowed them to tie up to us. The ship gave them boxes of fresh fruit and vegetables. They oohed everytime another box was handed to them.
In one week, the cruise will be over. Tomorrow we stop briefly at Nanortalik Greenland before heading to St. John’s Newfoundland.
