December 20 to December 22 At Sea
The unexpected sea day (Dec. 20)was filled with eating, port lectures, trivia, more eating, more trivia, bingo, and a comedian. All were fun. The seas are much smoother today. We learned that the Maasdam also had to skip Half Moon Cay.
There are only 690 passengers on board. I have only seen 3 children. The ship is wonderful. It is laid out differently than other HAL ships so I am still discovering places. No place has felt crowded and the crew is very friendly and helpful.
Today (Dec. 21) I went to Good Morning Prinsendam. Only 8 of us attended. Jeremy the CD was interesting telling us about where he and Jessica (Culinary Arts Host) are from. Followed by information about what is coming up.
Next up is a locations talk on Guadeloupe and St. Lucia.
Last night we moved our clocks ahead 1 hour. So breakfast at 8am was not very crowded. Tonight is our first gala night. I’ll need to rush back from 4pm Bingo to get dressed. Earl, Linda, and I have a 5:30 dinner reservation.
Gala night was very nice. Everyone was dressed nicely and the food was very good.
Today (Dec 22) we continue to sail but have been told we’ll be in port tomorrow in St. John’s USVI. The shows have been really good so far. We saw Mark Pitta (comedian), Chris Michaels (plays musical instruments from banjo to turkey baster, and HAL show called CONCERTO.
I really love this ship and will be booking the Grand South America 2017 when I get home.
More tomorrow. I am doing a catamaran sail, picnic, and snorkel excursion that I booked via the Internet from home.
