September 13, 2018 – Civitavececchia
Most of the passengers got up early to catch the train to Rome. I decided that it was a good day to rest.
I had breakfast in the Dining Room with a couple from Perth, Australia. We had a good discussion about why Americans tip and why everyone isn’t paid a living wage.
I took the free shuttle to the port gate. They have move the gate much farther from the train station since last time I was here in 2010. I walked to the station and realized that when I disembark on Oct 3rd that I need to take the bus to the station. Too far to lug my luggage.
I was back on board by noon. After lunch, I took a nice long nap.
Some info on the entertainment: There is a show every night at 8pm and 10pm. I haven’t been to any yet. The piano bar has 2 pianos and they are going from 7pm to 10pm. The Lincoln Center has a classical music played by a string quintet. My favorite is the BB King All Stars. They play 3 sets on most nights.
