June 15, 2019 – Port Alberni Canada
Port Alberni is on Vancouver Island at the end of the Alberni Inlet. The Maasdam is the first cruise ship to stop here in many years. The excursion I wanted was cancelled so I waited until after lunch to tender into town. At the quay there were booths set up selling crafe items. They also had people in period dress. The weather was beautiful- sunny and temp in the high 70s. I walked around for an hour before returning to the ship.
Tomorrow we get to Astoria Oregon. All passengers and crew need to go through Immigration before anyone can leave the ship.
