October 12, 2019 – Raleigh, NC

I have finally gotten on Eastern time so I woke up at 6am. We went out for breakfast with Carol’s sister Barbara and her friends, Shella and Wolcott, from Argentina. It was fun and the food was good.

After returning to the house, we got Carol’s dog, Boone, ready and headed to Shelley Lake. They have a wonderful trail that circles the lake. It is a 2 mile walk. Boone, the dog, loves to walk. The sun was shining and the day started getting warm so we stopped after one time around.

On the way back to the house, we decided to cook and eat in tonight. I have an easy recipe for Osso Buco so we are going to try that. We couldn’t find Veal Shanks so we are using Beef shanks.

Dinner was very good. Carol had previously told us that she couldn’t remember ever having a memorable meal. After one bite she admitted this meal was exceptional so I took a picture to preserve the moment.
