Once again we left the hotel before 6:30am to drive to Pasadena.
They park the floats at the end of the parade route. From 7am to 9am on the 2nd, they allow seniors and disabled persons entry. The public can enter at 9am. You can see the floats from only a few feet away. There are many details that aren’t visible on TV. For me it was better than the parade. We had 2 1/2 hours but I could have spent more time.
I am adding more photos than usual to show off the details on floats that can’t be seen on TV.
We were back at the hotel by 11am and had to checkout by noon.
I had an uneventful flight home.
Next up is a trip to Norway in February to see the Northern Lights.
