This morning some people got up at 4am to go hot air ballooning over the Valley of the Kings. I decided not to do it after learning that there would be 32 people in one balloon basket. Upon return they said it was a good excursion.
At 8:30am we went to Karnak Temple. Construction started in 2000BC. The area continued be developed for over 2000 years. The most impressive sight is the Hypostyle Hall containing 134 columns in 16 rows. Most of these are still standing.
After lunch on the ship, some of us walked to the Luxor Museum. It is small but had interesting items.
A farewell dinner was served on the ship followed by a Whirling Dervish and a belly dancer. The Whirling Dervish was fantastic.
