Today was the toughest day of the trip. We had to leave our hotel at 4:15am to get to the airport for our 6:25am flight to Jordan. A man is one hour ahead of Egypt so our one hour flight arrived at 8:30. It took an hour and a half to get through immigration and get our bags. We finally met up with Murad, our tour guide.
He told us we would drive an hour or so to our first stop. As he talked, most of us fell asleep. When we stopped, Murad told us that we were at Mount Nebo. This is where many believe Moses is buried. We walked up and he told us about the area. We want through the church which contains mosaics and other items from the Byzantine church.
Next we stopped for lunch. Once again there was an array of mezzo – hummus, babaganous, salads, pita bread, deep fried meatballs… This was followed by our entrees of chicken and lamb. As always, it was too much food.
We went through a Greek Orthodox Church before reboarding the bus. Murad talked during the ride but most of us kept dozing off.. At 4pm we arrived in Petra and checked into our hotel.
Due to Ramadan, the hotel bar didn’t open until 7:30pm. We went and had a snack.. At 9pm I finally went to bed.

Your photos continue to amaze me.
