We arrived in Provincetown at 7am. There were 2 time slots that we could chose to do a trolley tour either 8:15am or 9:45am. I chose 8:15am.
We took a tender into the pier. The trolley tour was great. We started at the center of town and then head through the West End. We saw many old houses that had originally been floated over to Provincetown. After the West End we drove into the Cape Cod National Seashore. It is full of long stretches of beach with huge sand dunes. When we left the Seashore we drove through the East End of Provincetown before returning to the pier.
Many of us decided to stay in town until noon. One of my new friends, Chuck, convinced me to go to the pilgrim monument and climb to the top. It was a mostly easily climb with 121 steps and 60 ramps to get to the top. From the top we had 360° views of everything. It was definitely worth the climb.
At sunset we sailed through the Cape Cod Canal. Tomorrow we will stop at Martha’s Vineyard.
After dinner tonight a groupof us went to the lounge and danced to the live music.
