Posted by We awoke in Avignon. After breakfast we had a walking tour that took us through the town and a tour of the Pope’s castle. We learned all about the Avignon Pope’s.
After lunch there were two tours:
Visiting a Chateauneuf-du-pape winery
Or visit the Pont du Gard Aqueduct.
I went on the winery tour but wish I had done the other. The wine served was very young and not the best.
We had our farewell dinner and headed to bed.
I am not doing an entry for September 24th. That is the long day traveling back to Paris. I’ve caught my usual travel cold so I’m taking it east,
