Today was a travel day. Breakfast was at 7am and we drove away at 8am.
It took about one half hour to get to the border. It was fairly painless. My new passport already has 6 stamps in it.
We stopped at 10 am for our “bano” break and to refuel the bus. During the ride Walter told us more about Honduras and the current political situation. They still have gangs but luckily for us they don’t go after tourists.
For lunch we stopped at POLLO CAMPERO . Walter said it was the best fried chicken in Guatemala. I ordered the 2 piece meal which had 2 chicken breasts, french fries, and a soda. I ate one chicken breast but two were too much. It was good.
We got to Guatemala City at 330pm. Walter took us on a tour of our neighborhood to point out restaurants, grocery stores, and pharmacy.
We were on our own for dinner. Three of us tried the Peruvian restaurant nearby. It was okay. I did have the first IPA beer i’d seen since arriving in Central America. It was delicious.
Tomorrow we visit a local school which the OAT foundation helps support.
Only one picture today.

Pollo Campero is in El Salvador too. good chicken.
