Half of our group left at 730am to climb a nearby volcano.  This was an optional activity so seven of the group stayed behind.
Nothing was planned for the group until 5pm so Carol and I scheduled massages for 10am across the street from our hotel.   $39.00 USD for a one hour massage that was one of the best I have ever had.
At noon, we walked into town and had lunch at an Italian restaurant. We went to a shop that was filled with textiles, masks, ceramics, and kites.  I bought a small wooden jaguar mask.

In the town square there is an interesting fountain. The church across the street is not fond of it. See pictures below.
At 5pm we went to the home of a woman who makes chocolate for making chocolate drinks.  She showed us the process and then after a sample, we had a typical Guatemalan dinner of tamales and tostadas.
The volcano climbers said it was a good hike but the black lava dust was very dirty.
Tomorrow we drive back to Guatemala City and take a flight to Petan.
