Today was our first port stop. The 6 sea days have gone by quickly.  We have had 4 one hour time changes to be on Azores time when we landed. Now we will have 2 more before arriving to Cadiz on April 15.
We had a medical evacuation by helicopter yesterday. I don’t know any details but it caused a lot of excitement.
I signed up for the “Off the Beaten Track” tour in Porti Delgada.  It was billed as strenuous but it wasn’t. Four of us rode in a 4×4 to the north side of the island.   Most of the trip was off road which was bumpy but fun. The island is filled with dormant volcanoes.  One of the largest now contains multiple lakes and a small village. First we drove along the upper ridge of the caldera and then made our way down to the village.  We had some free time in the village. We went to another overlook where there Is a large hotel which opened In 1989 and closed overnight in 1990.  The furniture is still in the rooms.  What happened is a mystery.  We had great weather most of the day. We sailed out at 5pm to head to Spain.
Now two sea days before 5 ports in a row.
