We were already docked in Cartagena when I woke up at 6am.
I had been to Cartagena before so I took a tour that took us on a brief bus tour of the city before going to the city center. We visited the Roman theater museum which included taking a tunnel out to the theater. They first discovered that the theater was here in 1990 while doing demolition of some houses.
After the theater we walked down the main street to see the mansions built during the early 1900’s. After some time to shop, the bus took us to the Punic Wall built in 3rd century bc. As I walked in I saw my friends Steve and Jordan. I decided to ditch my tour and join their walking tour. We had a tapas lunch together in town after their tour ended.
The departure from port was delayed by a medical emergency. Every port someone has been taken off by ambulance including an air evacuation the day before we got to the Azores. I’ve never been on a cruise with this many medical incidents.
Tomorrow is our last port before Barcelona.
