The day sailing through the Panama Canal was hot and humid. The ship’s announcements repeatedly told us to minimize time out on the open decks and to hydrate. I stayed outside to watch us enter the first lock but spent the rest of the day watching through windows. We entered the first lock at 730am and exited the Canal at 4pm.
The day before they gave a wonderful presentation on the history of the Canal. We were all given maps so we could follow our progress.
After exiting the Canal the sea got rougher we entered the Atlantic Ocean.
