I have embarked on a 24 day trip to the New York area to visit friends and family. In addition, I’ll be attending 2 Road Scholar classes in Manhattan.

I took a red eye flight back from San Francisco to Atlanta and then a small jet to White Plains Airport. I rented a car and drove to my sister- and brother-in laws house in Hartsdale. NY. I had only slept 2 hours on my flight so the plan was to take a 2 hour nap upon arrival. As I unpacked I realized that I had left no all my prescription drugs at home. I spent my first day calling my HMO and local pharmacies to get my prescriptions filled here. Finally at 5pm, I had my no pills. In all my travel I have never done this before and after this will never do it again.

On Saturday morning I drove to Norwalk CT to visit my niece, Amy, and her family. I had not seen them in 10 years or so. Natalie, the youngest was only 3. She is now in eighth grade. We went to Quinnipiac College in Hamden CT to see Megan in a tap recital. I was told that not only is Megan a math major like me but is also a fan of my blog. She is just finishing up freshman year at Quinnipiac. Emily who is graduating next week with a Masters in Psychology met us at the performance. David, the oldest, is working near home doing data analysis for purchasing at a grocery store chain. The recital was great. We had lunch in Hamden and then went back to Norwalk. After dinner I headed to the Norwalk Inn where I had booked a room for the night.

Monday I’ll be heading to Manhattan for a 5 day Road Scholar tour “Best of Theater”. I’ll be blogging again when I get into the city.

Here is picture of Megan at her recital. It is a little fuzzy but I wanted to show you my blog fan.
