We had a short recap of our Road Scholar Best of Theater Tour ending with all of us singing “There’s No Business like Show Business”. This tour far exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it for anyone who loves Theater.

It was raining heavily so I left my luggage at the hotel and took the subway to the Tenement Museum. I had booked the “Family owned apartments” tour for 1230pm. Since I was early, I found a restaurant a d had a nice lunch. There were 10 of us on my tour and we saw 2 ground floor units. The first was a beer hall owned by a German immigrant and the family lived in a room behind the bar in the mid 1800’s. The other unit was owned by a Jewish man who lived across the street in the early 1900’s but opened a mercantile store in this tenement. The tour was very interesting.

After the Museum, I picked up my bags and took the MetroNorth train to Mamaroneck to visit with my niece Debbi and her family.
