Posted by We arrived in Juneau at 1230pm. It was raining heavily. Steve and I had signed up for an excursion so we dressed for the weather and left the ship.
Our first stop was Glacier Gardens. We rode in a tram up a hill through trees, berries, and flowers. We got up to 600 ft and had a nice view of the airport below.
This is a dead upside down tree with flowers planted on top.
Next week went to Mendenhall Glacier. It was really raining by then. We had 1 1/2 hours to spend there. We decided to hang out at the Visitor Center. Unfortunately the Visitor Center closes at 5pm and our bus wasn’t picking us until 530pm. The final picture below is where we waited for the bus.
