Reykjavik – Puffins

The weather today was beautiful.  The sky was clear and the temperature in the high 50’s.

I went on a Puffin Tour that Cruise Specialists (my travel agency) offered.  We went out on a boat and circled an island where hundreds of puffins are nesting.   It was great.

Sail away was 1pm.  There more lectures this afternoon.   Previously Dr. Helena Aves had been giving lectures on geology of the area.  Today,  we are starting a series by Annette  (our Nordic Ambassador ) talking aboutabout Viking Mythology.   The lectures I like the most are by Frank Buzzard.  He was Chief Engineer for the Space Shuttle project.  His lectures covers many space related topics.

The entertainment from the first week have left us and a new group is on that does an ABBA show.

We are sailing to Djupivogur, Iceland and expect to arrive by 10am tomorrow.  We’ve been told that tonight will be another rough night and we may have rain tomorrow.

  1. Sky looks very clear. Hope the next stop will have good weather too.Do they have seat belts on your beds for rough weather? The lectures all sound interesting.
