Here is where I am going next

I have made a decision to leave family behind and take a cruise this holiday season.   Since Brian passed, Christmas has been a little rough. While I love spending time with his family I thought it was time to try something new.

The ms Prinsendam is Holland America’s smallest ship with 825 passengers.  To sail on her has always been on my list so I’ll be boarding her on December 19, 2015 for 16 days. I’m attaching the map of the itinerary.  I will be blogging as we sail.

I’ll be joined on this cruise by some people I met on the Voyage of the Vikings so I won’t be totally sailing alone.

I’ll be getting home on January 4.  My only 2016 plans (so far) are February/March Tasmania, Australia, New Zealand (5 week land tour) and September/October Alpine Villages of Europe (16 day land tour plus Berlin).  I am hoping to blog every trip on this website.

  1. Sounds great, Elsie! Look forward to reading your travel blog. Since we met you on the VoV, we’ve booked a trip (cruise) to Cuba. It’s in Feb. through Vantage Deluxe World Travel on the 210-passenger ship, St. Laurent. Looking forward to it!

    Enjoy the Prinsendam in Dec!

  2. Have a wonderful time! I enjoyed a transatlantic on the Prinsendam in November 2013…loved the ship. Any chance your alpine villages tour is with GCT?

  4. Elsie, so enjoy your notes and good for you to make a way for yourself and not depend on others to keep you entertained. We have many many great private tour operators for sail/snorkel in the Caribbean ports that we use… let me know, if you are interested. We’re doing Oceania’s Viking tour of Iceland/Greenland in July 2015. Your notes were inspiring!!
