December 24, 2015 – Gustavia, St. Barts
Originally we were to begin tendering into St. Barts at 10am. The Captain (or as he says “The disembodied voice from the bridge”)

told us that we could tender starting at 9am. He added that nothing opens until 10am.
Earl, Linda, and I took a tender at 10am and walked past the huge yachts that were tied up along the embarcadero. We were looking for Shell Beach but took a wrong turn and climbed stairs up a hill overlooking the beach. Back down the stairs and around the corner and we found the beach. It is covered in small shells rather than sand. This is not a beach to walk on barefoot.
After walking around town a little more we headed back to the ship. After lunch we split up and will get together at 3pm for food trivia followed at 4pm with general trivia. Tonight’s dinner is Gala optional. The menu has Turkey, Ham, Steak, Sole, pasta Primavera and pasta with duck. Tomorrow is a Gala night too.
At 11pm there was an hour of caroling with the various choirs – Filipino, Indonesian, Dutch, and the International Chorus. At midnight there was a Christmas mass as well as an interdenominational service.
This was a wonderful way to spend Christmas Eve.
