January 2, 2016 – Grand Turk
When the ship pulled into the pier it started raining but by the time we got off the sun was shining. We took a taxi into Cockburn town and walked around. We really enjoyed the Turks and Caicos Museum that had an interesting display on ship wrecks. They also have a garden where they had a flower that smelled like chocolate.
After walking around a little we headed back to the ship for lunch. As we were eating a huge ship pulled up on the other side of the dock. It was the Emerald Princess. It made our ship look really small (and the better choice).
We spent the afternoon playing games on my verandah which was on the beach side so the view was not blocked by the Emerald. We heard the DC at Margaritaville ask “who is here from the Princess ship?” Then he asked “who is here from the little ship?” I guess we were too small to find out our name.
We went to the final cast show. The performers are leaving the ship with us having just completed a 7 month contract. Their shows were all very good. Finally we played TV show theme song trivia. They played 20 seconds of a theme song and you had to name the show. We got 12 out of 20 correct and did not win. We even missed the Seinfeld theme song.
Well, tomorrow is at sea and then home. I’ll write a few last thoughts when I get home and then let you know boutique my next trip. Thanks for following along. And a special thanks to those who sent me comments.

  2. Hi Elsie! We have really enjoyed reading your trip blog. It brought back memories and piqued our interest in places we have not yet been to. Enjoy your last day onboard the Prinsendam, and have a safe trip back home.

BTW, we would take the “little ship” over the Emerald any day! πŸ˜‰
