January 18, 2017 – At Sea
So far most days have been sunny with a temperature in the high 70s or low 80s. I am told that as we continue south that it will keep getting cooler. Inside the ship has been cools I am glad that I brought a sweater.
Today is another day filled with lectures, games, and classes. After breakfast I went to Good Morning Prinsendam where Verity, the cruise director, told us about living in Tahiti when she is not on a ship.
I skipped the Shore Excursion talk to take a class on Windows 10. Next up was Golf Chipping contest for Grand dollars. I got $1 for participation. Linda got $2 because she came in 3rd. After lunch we attended a lecture on the next 3 ports. We played Wii Bowling and each got another $1. At 4pm we played Foodie Trivia and came in 4th.
Had dinner in the Canaletto, the Italian restaurant. It is always good for a change of pace.
After Pub Trivia, I decided to go back to the cabin and go to bed early. My cold wants to make a comeback and I’m working on stopping it.
Sorry, no pictures today.
To orrow we are in Coquimbo, Chile.

  1. Thanks for answering my weather question, Elsie. I like that they give out “Grand Dollars.” Remember when they did that on all cruises? Also the small booklets that you would get stamped for different activities (Passport to Fitness). I probably have one of those somewhere around here. I still have a t-shirt that I “bought” with my stamps. BTW, you are brave to tackle a Windows 10 class, but what better place to do that than a HAL cruise! Hope you get the upper hand with the cold. I remember that you said you brought all kinds of OTC meds with you, so hopefully they take care of your symptoms. Feel better. (Since you walked around on a broken ankle on one of your trips, I’m sure a cold is not a big deal.🙂) Keep the updates/photos coming. Love reading about your adventures!
