I was supposed to be leaving on September 29th for a Grand Circle tour of the Canadian Rockies. I had to cancel this trip because I am in the process of selling my house and will be moving to an apartment in a Senior Community in Pleasanton California on September 27th.
I decided to make this move so that I can travel without the hassle of worrying about house maintenance. I just turned 68 and will be one of the younger people in the community. I have been busy sorting through 32 years of stuff since I’ll be moving to half the space I currently have. This is the longest I have gone without a trip in the last 5 years. I am itching to travel again.
In my spare time I have made reservations for the following trips:
February 2018 – Overseas Adventure Travel – Ultimate Galapagos tour
October 2018 – Grand Circle Travel – Romance of the Rhine and Mosel small ship tour
January 2019 -to April 2019 – Holland America World Cruise
Watch for new entries as I start traveling again.
Good luck with your move! Will look forward to your blog once you start travelling again.

Best of luck with your move! I hope to meet you sometime on a HAL, OAT, or GCT trip. I’m off on the OAT trip to Patagonia in September.

Sorry you had to cancel this trip, Elsie, but moving is difficult and time consuming, so I understand your plight. But once you are settled into your new home, you’ll have lots of time for travel. Jack and I did the GCT Rhine and Mosel trip in 2009 (Wow, can’t believe it’s been that long ago already!) We loved it! I’ll have to look to see if GCT has changed it at all. In September 2018 we are heading to Croatia with Vantage Travel. We’re also doing a HAL Panama Canal in January 2018.
Good luck with your move!

So glad you are gearing up for more travel. All three trips sound wonderful but especially excited about your world tour. So glad you have that scheduled. Only problem is that we aren’t overlapping on our trips. We’ll have to correct that. Love, Mary Jo and Bill
