February 24, 2018 – Back to Quito

February 24, 2018 – Yarina Lodge to Quito
After breakfast, the staff at Yarina Lodge came out so we could meet them and to say goodbye.  We took the long boat back to Coca.
We walked around Coca and went to the open market.  Many in the group wanted to buy “Devil’s Blood”  which is the sap of the Devil’s Blood tree.  It is good on cuts and burns.  Some same it is good for arthritis.  It looks like blood but went rubbed on the skin turns white like a cream.
We flew back to Quito and got to the hotel at 4pm.  They have a special deal for us for laundry but to get it back by tomorrow night we had to have it out by 5pm. We all rushed to our rooms and loaded up the bags.
Tonight was a night where OAT doesn’t do the dinner so we were on our own,   Our guide offered to let us join her at a nearby restaurant. 11 of our group of 13 joined her.   The food was good and the conversations were hysterical.
We have all day tomorrow to do whatever we want.  Some of us are meeting at breakfast to decide what we’ll do.
