Amazon Rainforest & Galapagos – Final Notes
This was a very physically exhausting tour. In the rainforest it was very hot and humid and the hikes were long but worth it. In the Galapagos it was also very hot and humid. The hikes were in the early morning before the heat of the day while the rest of the day was spent snorkeling or kayaking. We had one 2pm hike that was brutal due to the heat.
That said, it was one of the best tours I have done. I have never seen so many plant, trees, and wildlife that appear no where else except in Ecuador.
I got home and tried my camera again. This time it worked perfectly. Phew!
The pictures attached are from February 28th.They were the final pictures from my camera before I got it wet.
My next planned trip isn’t until September. I’ll be flying to Barcelona to get on a Holland America cruise for 24 days that takes me through the Mediterranean and Adriatic Seas. I’ll disembark in Civitavecchia, Italy and take a train to Florence for 3 days and then to Bern, Switzerland for 2 days before joining a Grand Circle group in Lucerne for a Rhine and Mosel river cruise.
I hope you join me on future travels.

Thanks for always doing your travel blogs, Elsie! I love reading them! Your September trip sounds great. And then the World Cruise!! Or will there be another trip squeezed in before that? Looking forward to seeing you on the WC!

Your pics were great. I’ve done the Rhine twice, once with Uniworld and once with GCT. Have fun on your further adventures.
