October 10, 2019 – Raleigh, North Carolina

Yes, Elsie is traveling again. I flew all day yesterday from Oakland CA to Raleigh NC with a holdover in Baltimore. I am staying with my good friends Carol and Tom.

We drove to Durham today and visited the Duke Chapel at Duke University.   It is built to look like a European Cathedral. It was very impressive.   After lunch a German Restaurant, we walked through the Sarah P. Duke Gardens. They were very nice and must be really beautiful when everything is in bloom.

I am staying here until Sunday when Carol and I will travel to Montreat NC to join a Road Scholar tour called “The Biltmore & Beyond”. We will spend time in the Blue Ridge Mountains for 5 days.

I am writing this on my laptop and hope the pictures look OK. I usually do my blog and resize the photos on my Android tablet but it has decided to die on me right when I needed it.
