October 13, 2019 – Montreat, NC

We left Raleigh at 8:30am.  It started raining heavily as we drove.  We stopped in Black Mountain. It is a small town with interesting stores.  At noon we found a cafe open for lunch. The food was very good.  The rain had slowed to a drizzle so we wandered around town.  We got to Montreat at 2pm and drove up through the small college before going to our hotel.

The rooms are sparse – no TV or phone. Obviously, the Lack of TV bothered me the most.
