October 15, 2021 – Lisbon – Dinner with a Local
We had dinner with Anna, an artist, who lives in an area near the 25th of April bridge (the GGB look-a-like bridge). She lives in a beautiful apartment in a building that used to be a pickle factory. She designed the interior.
The four single women were assigned to have dinner with her while the two couples went to another home. Anna gave us wine and Portuguese cheeses while we got acquainted. For dinner she made a spinach mousse with creme fraiche and cherry tomatoes, and turkey with pumpkin and potatoes. It was all delicious. For dessert she served a typical Portuguese pudding made from egg yolks and sugar. It was very sweet. The two hours went by too fast.
I thought I’d answer a few questions,
The tour is Oversea Adventure Travel “Backroads of Iberia – Posadas and Paradors”.
Fado is Portugal’s favorite music genre. It is mostly sad, mournful ballads but some are upbeat.
This is my first trip where I left my camera at home. All pictures are being taken with my phone, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. So far i am very pleased with the quality.
