October 20, 2021 – Carmona to Ronda
We left our Parador in Carmona at 9am heading for our first stop – a bull farm, La Cobatilla. We split into 3 groups and were driven around the farm. Our driver was the owner Jose Murube who spoken very little English. Every time we had a questions, he had his daughter, Marta, drive her car up next to ours to answer us. They have 500 bulls. The 4 and 5 year olds are kept together so the bull ring owners can select the ones they want to buy. A bull can only be used once in the bull ring because they learn too much and would probably kill the matador on bout two. They were showing us dried up lakes and telling us about their drought. It is not close to the California drought but a serious problem for them. We had a light lunch and talked more to the daughter about raising bulls and bull fighting.
We left the farm at 2:15pm and headed to Ronda with a quick stop to see a Dam and village of whitewashed houses in the distance.
We checked into our hotel in the middle of town. Our room has a balcony and looks out at the swimming pool. We all bagged up our dirty clothes which Sira is sending out and will pick up tomorrow.
After a neighborhood walk, we went to see a Spanish Guitarist in concert. He was excellent.,
At 8:30pm we went to eat pizza.

You two are learning a lot about a lot!
