December 15, 2021 – SFO to Houston to Buenos Aires

My flights to Buenos Aires were on United in the Polaris Business class seats. They are very comfortable with nice storage and lie flat seats. First flight was SFO to Houston. The Houston flight to Buenos Aires was 9 1/2 hours so I was able to get some sleep.
There were about 20 from my tour on my flight. We were bused to our Hotel. We are close to where my late husband, Brian, and I rented an apartment for a month every year from 2003 to 2006. I hope to visit our favorite restaurant tomorrow.
After getting our rooms and schedule for the next 3 days, we took a short walk to get acquainted with the neighborhood by the hotel. We are staying in Recoleta near the French Embassy.
I had empanadas for lunch. A favorite meal for me in Argentina. After lunch I took a nap.
The whole group met at 6pm, We were told that we need to wear masks everywhere even on the ship. There are 103 of us. I’m guessing the age range is from 60 to late 70s. They say we can do things as strenuous as we want. ??
We had a wonderful welcome dinner with champagne and lots of Malbec (red wine). After dinner we had a Tango Show. It was so well done. I have been to other shows but this was the best. I added a short video of the dancers. I hope it shows up OK.

Tomorrow, we have a morning tour of the city. The rest of the day is on our own. I’ll be off to search for my favorite ice cream shop and favorite steak restaurant.
