December 18, 2021 – At sea

When I woke up the sun was shining and the sea was fairly calm.
The schedule for the day was on the TV and the looked busy. I dressed and went to the library to get a cappuccino. I love sitting out on my balcony drinking coffee in the morning.
After breakfast, we had a meeting to meet the expectation team. There are 14 of them and they will be giving lectures and helping us when we go ashore. They showed us a map of South Georgia Island. It had the landing spots marked on it.
We picked up our parkas next. They are really nice.
Before lunch they had a Bingo game. Only 12 or so people showed up. The 2 men who ran the game were hysterical. Neither knew how BINGO was played.
After lunch we had 2 lectures – Photography Basics and Birds We Will See. I fell asleep during the Bird lecture. They said that they will have more bird lectures so I’m sure I didn’t miss much.
We had a Happy Hour before the Welcome dinner. At dinner, one of the expedition team joined us. She is in charge of the on board shop in addition to her expedition duties. It was fun talking to her.
Since I hadn’t slept well in Buenos Aires, I decided to go to sleep early.
