Last night, the sea was rough. By morning it had calmed a little but we were told that it will get tough this afternoon.
To prevent non-native elements onto land, we had to take our hiking clothing and gear to be vacuumed. Next, we had to get our boots cleaned.
In the afternoon, we learned about antarctic seals and elephant seals.
Before dinner we were told that we will reach S. Georgia Island tomorrow afternoon. This will give us an extra half day exploring the island.

Hi Elsie,
Curious, I checked Google maps for S. Georgia Is. Google has been there, and I could even get the little Google map man positioned on some of the streets. He even took me inside the museum. While I also saw some great photos of the island, obviously taken from a ship or other vessel, the whaling site was probably the ugliest tourist spot I’ve ever seen. So don’t be too disappointed. Do hope you get to see lots of penguins, etc. and have clear weather for the gorgeous distant views of hills and glaciers. Ah, my virtual trip to S. Georgia Is. was free!
