I had breakfast at 8am. The first bus was at 10am so I took my time eating breakfast .
I took the bus to the Perlan museum. It is contains many hands on exhibits. The planetarium has a show about the aurora borealis. There is a history section explaining how Iceland was formed over many centuries. Another section explains information about the geothermal system of volcanoes on the island. This Museum is a must see. The top floor has a removing restaurant while the floor below has a 360° view of Reykjavik. They even have a zipline going a short way to a forest just down from the museum. Next to the museum was a collection of something colorful. When I looked again they had inflated into a whole group of inflated slides.
The bus picked us up at 12:30pm and took us back to our hotel.
I went to a sandwich shop for lunch. I had a small chicken and avocado sandwich with a large mango, ginger, and apple juice. The juice was freshly made and delicious. Everything is expensive in Iceland. Lunch was $16 today.
I got a call from the airport that they have found my bag. It will be delivered tomorrow morning. I am so happy. I’ll offer my newly purchased clothes to others with lost luggage.
We had a welcome dinner for the main tour tonight. We are being split into 4 groups. I’m in the blue group. In Antarctica I was in the Amelie penguin group which sounded better than blue group. There are 32 in each group.
Tomorrow we do the famous Golden Circle tour.
