September 17, 2023 – Paris to Lyon
Last night we took the Paris by Night tour. We made 3 stops for pictures – Arc de Triumphe. Louvre Pyramid, and at 11pm the Eiffel Tower for the light show.  The rest of the trip was driving around Paris seeing the places we saw during the day.
We got back to the hotel just before midnight.  Since we were leaving for Lyon today we had to put our bags out at 6am and leave at 7am.  I didn’t get much sleep before the alarm went off.
We got to Gare de Lyon at 8am and our train took off at 9am. It was a TGV so it took just 2 hours to get to Lyon. We were bussed to the ship, the Viking Buri.  We were quickly in our cabin.
We had a buffet lunch and then took  a quick guided tour of the area near the ship. After the tour we wandered around a little on our own.
Back onboard, we had the lifeboat drill and then a talk about the ship and what to expect.
Dinner was at 7pm.  The menu had many options and the food was  very good.
After dinner we listened to the piano player
