Last night at 11:52pm there was a 6.1earthquake in Guatemala which was felt throughout Central America. My hotel bed shook for at least 5 seconds. I quickly went back to sleep.
We had breakfast at the hotel while they were loading our luggage on the roof of our bus. Shortly after 8am we left San Salvador heading for the Guatemala border. At 1045 we went to a pre-immigration stop where they validate that we had entry stamps in our passports. At 1130am we first went through the El Salvador station to get an exit stamp. Next we needed to get an entry stamp into Guatemala. We stopped for lunch at 1pm. It was a great buffet of grilled meats and vegetables with black beans and salsas.
After lunch we proceeded to the Honduras border where we got an exit stamp from Guatemala and an entry stamp from Honduras.
We arrived in Copan at 330pm. After getting settled we had a walk through town and out to a park to see Macaws.
Tomorrow we will go to the Copan archeological site for the morning.

I’m following you. I’m enjoying your wonderful pix. Be safe from the earthquakes. Remember duck and cover. SRC prepares you for everything. Denise
