October 12, 2024 – Halifax, Nova Scotia

When I woke up the ship was already docked in Halifax. Since I’ve been here at least 4 previous trips, I decided to have a lazy day. It was cloudy and windy outside so I waited until 11am to go out. I walked down the Boardwalk and found the Garrison Brewery and had a local IPA and did my Wordle. I headed back to the ship for lunch. While eating in the Lido, I noticed that it was pouring outside. I decided not to go out again.
C and J spent all day riding the Hop On-Hop Off bus and visiting sights in Halifax. They returned to the ship at 3pm. Sail away was at 4pm.
We saw the Breton Thunder finale show tonight and once again it was fantastic. They played both modern songs and Breton Celtic favorites. Holland America is adding itinerary related acts on their ships and this was a great addition for our cruise.
