May 5, 2025 – New York City

I returned my rental car to Westchester Airport and UBERed to the White Plains Train Station.I was surprised to find a Tim Horton’s at the Station.

I took an express train to Grand Central Station in NYC. I quickly found the Shuttle, a subway line that connects Grand Central to Times Square and stops at the two terminus points.

I easily found my hotel, Hampton Inn at Times Square. Since my room wasn’t available, I dropped off my bag and went to an Irish Pub down the street for lunch.

I am here for Road Scholar’s Best of Theater tour. At 430pm we had an orientation meeting to go through the schedule for the week. There are 23 of us in the group from all over the U.S.

We had a nice dinner at the Playwright Celtic Pub.

Tomorrow, rain is expected. We’ll be walking around Times Square and visit the Museum of Broadway in the morning. Lectures in the afternoon and seeing “We had a world” off-broadway in the evening.
