May 23, 2025 – NYC to Hartsdale

This morning we had a short meeting. Angela summarized our outings and declared that we were honorary New Yorkers. I put my backpack and trekking poles on my back, grabbed my small bag and headed to the subway. I got to Grand Central, bought my ticket, and ran for a train leaving in one minute. I made it and texted Mary who picked me up.

I developed a cough during this trip from the high levels of pollen in the air.   I’m hoping it will be better when I get home tomorrow night.

This tour had a lot of walking but never more than a mile or so without a stop. The longest day was 8 miles in total.  To learn the history and differences between the boroughs was worth it.  If you are a walker, I recommend this tour.

My next trip is a seven day Alaskan cruise. My friend Steve suggested it since we both had “free” casino offers.  We’ll be sailing on my birthday so it’ll be extra fun.

In October I’ll be flying back to NYC to sail on Holland America’s Ultimate 45 day Transatlantic and Mediterranean Cruise.

I hope you will all follow along
